Busy Busy Times

Well, times are very busy. I know I have not kept up with the blog in the last few weeks but oh how our life has changed. I started back to work 2 weeks ago and spent a week attending teacher meetings. On Tuesday of last week I met my new class and it really is wonderful. The the class as a whole is really sweet and I have such caring parents. I am so happy to be at St. Mary's!!!!!! This coming Saturday Charles will begin teaching a class at Faulker University's Mobile Campus so our life seems to remain super busy. Faulker is based in Montgomery and is not the same as Faulkner State CC here in Bay Minette.

The same day as my new teacher orientation 2 weeks ago tomorrow night, we welcomed a new family member into our household. Hopefully I will get a photo up soon. Vera Thommen from outside of Basil, Switzerland has come to stay with us for the year. She is 17 and attends Daphne High School. For those who have not met Vera, her joining the family came rather quick. Her original host mother was unable to keep her due to a family issue and on Friday an email went around Charles' work asking if anyone would like to host one of the about 6 students whose families fell through. Charles and I said sure and filled out all of the paperwork and background check info Saturday the 2nd. On Sunday the 3rd we had a home visit to check out our house and to meet us. By 8:30pm on Monday the 4th of August Vera came to stay. She is sweet and is adapting very well. Reese enjoys her for the most part, although she is still only 21 months old so she is fickle. Reese calls her Very so it is cute. Anyway, just wanted to update and let everyone know what has been going on if our busy lives.
